One of Lanzarote’s most noted shortcomings is in its public transportation system. To call it deficient would be an understatement. Returning your car is easy with Cicar, either at any of their offices, strategically located at the airport and ports, in Arrecife and the tourist areas, or through a hotel pick-up and drop-off service offered free of additional charge (with a minimum three-day rental). All the cars are fully insured. Should any mishaps occur, Cicar will exchange your vehicle for no additional charge. Customers must be older than 23 (21 is the minimum age for foreigners) with a driver’s license at least two years old.
