MAP OF LOCATION:

The natural area of La Geria is recognized as one of the most spectacular spaces in Lanzarote. Among the natural stone barriers and its thousands of acres of grapevines emerges this charming and gorgeous place, El Chupadero, an estate-winery, specialized in wines and tapas. Its location is strategic for a day of contemplative leisure. If La Geria by itself is enough to capture our gaze for hours, the contrast of the black loose volcanic rock and the green grapevines with the reddish and ochre hills of the nearby Montañas del Fuego seems to interrupt the spinning of Earth. It’s easy to lose oneself in the scenery, listening to the peaceful chords that come from the musical offering; the selection of jazz is a complete success.

The reformed old manor that houses the salons for drinks, wines and tapas of El Chupadero offers different meeting formulas to its potential visitors. On the quiet outdoor terrace there are different benches and more intimate tables. Inside, very cool, by the way, you’ll find rooms where you can get something to eat and ample couches where you can meet for coffee or digestifs.

The place has an extensive liquor list, as well as coffees and infusions. It has a decent white wine of its own production and the main wine offer of the island. In spite of being short, the tapas menu is quite varied: crepes, smoked tuna and anchovies, the traditional potatoes with mojo sauce and Serrano ham. Also, a lunch menu is prepared every day.

More photos of Ramón Pérez Niz.

What to do before and after: The <a href="http://www.centrosturisticos.com/centros/CENTROS/published_es/DEFAULT/timanfaya.html"target=\"_blank\">You can visit the Montañas del Fuego, of the Timanfaya National Park, you can stroll through the towns of Uga y Yaiza or you can go to the nearby coast of El Golfo if you want some good freshly-caught fish or enjoy the gastronomic options by visiting the Monument to the Peasant, a few miles from La Geria.

STATE PLAN:

When you enter any time you sense what you are getting inside. This is one of the main themes of the Centers for Arts, Culture and Tourism made by Cesar Manrique . The artist walks you through an original construction, full of curious details in its decoration, and while still besotted with the interior of the building come across, without suspecting it, with one of the interventions in the area more attractive landscape of Lanzarote artist. From 400 meters quietly collecting Chinijo Pacific Islands (north of Lanzarote) and the islands of La Graciosa, Montaña Clara, Roque del Oeste and Alegranza.

The white semicircular cave that houses the café terrace is decorated with wooden floors, frescoes typical ferns manriqueños supplements, traditional pottery and water distillers Lanzarote. It is mandatory to pass, before or after coffee, the natural stone terrace of the Mirador, from where the picture of Chinijo Archipelago, the Risco de Famara (Lanzarote), the spectacular beach of the town and the unique and ancient salt salt Risco confronts us with a powerful post.

Good place it, then, to clinch a trip to the north of Lanzarote. The cafeteria offers a wide variety of beverages, from wines (especially recommended are white) to various aperitifs and liqueurs, and coffee and teas, juices, smoothies, soft drinks and beer, too, along with a bag of chips , ice cream cakes and some solid exhaust the possibilities. Not a restaurant, but is missing a simple supply of typical products, as they could be a wrinkled potatoes, a salad of fish, tuna…

The atmosphere is cool and calm. The music, environmental and jazz tones at times.

STATE PLAN:

Avenue of Playa Bastian is one of the coastal fringes of Costa Teguise more palatable to share free time. Every day, thousands of people kick their grateful promenade along the beach. Next to emerge coast grill restaurant Villa Toledo, which exploits the areas closest to the marina to provide a comfortable terrace where you talk and watch the enviable views of the coast.

The terrace is divided into two sections. One, by the sea (see photo above), decorated with soft shades of blue and white, with varied and comfortable furniture and pasted into a pool of children use the property of Villa Toledo. The other room is a walk of Bastian, with a small kiosk, surrounded by palm trees and lampposts Canary manriqueño style. The house offers a service of smoothies and juices, sandwiches, liquor, beer and sugar cane. Clearly improves if you decide to enrich your letter of coffee and tea. The prices are affordable despite being immersed in a tourist area (1.60, cane, 2.50, carafe, 4 to 5 euros, the combined).

The environment fits perfectly with the enclave. Villa Toledo spend time pairs or small groups of friends. The service is professional, friendly and fast. The schedule allows for both a snack terrace as afternoon tea or drinks after a hearty dinner. In the days of light wind pass through this terrace is advisable for its tranquility and stunning views of the sea.

MAP OF LOCATION:

Right at the entrance you are enveloped in a pleasant aroma of infusion, coffee and tea. This perfume emanates from the very complete herbolarium that is the main lung of the varied and delicious coffee and tea service of Hespérides. The rooms of Casa León, a traditional Canary building, and the jazz chords that sprout from the musical lines accompany you while you enjoy some green mate, Italian cappuccino or papaya or lime white tea. You can have it in the smoking or non-smoking areas in the cozy rooms or in the inside patio of the house or sample it in the cobblestone-paved street of León y Castillo in the old part of La Villa village.

The raw materials are of the finest quality, to which the indispensable care in its preparation is added. A careful hand in treating the coffee can be felt. The macchiato, the cappuccino or the latte mingle with the mixtures of milk foam, soy drink, cinnamon and vegetable creams. It is not the same, it is different. Equally different and suggestive is the tea menu. Black, red, green, blue, white, yellow, fruit, herb teas. More than one hundred varieties. The difficulty lies in making your choice. Black taj mahal? Maybe Pakistani? Or China jasmine? I know, vanilla and lavender white. No, better still yellow huang da cha. Or wouldn’t green toasted mate be better? No Turkish apple tea. No, cannabis, definitely cannabis. But, is there a piña colada tea? Yes, definitely a large selection. If you are not careful you’ll make yourself dizzy during the selection process.

The cafeteria complements its offer with a breakfast, luncheon or dinner option. Juices, gazpacho and a drink made with tiger nuts called horchata de chufas. Canapés or montaditos, croissants and snacks. Natural gazpacho. Some pastries with Canarian yogurt, apple and chocolate pies. Savor a liquor or a white wine, or sip on a glass of red.

Hespérides stands out because it is the only organic restaurant in Lanzarote. Organic and vegetarian products are found in their tapas, salads, rice and in their specialty dishes. The atmosphere is very pleasant. The service is outstanding and quick. The prices, both of coffee and tea, as well as in the organic restaurant, are very reasonable. Definitely, an attractive place that has taken the risk of doing something different in Teguise and Lanzarote. Hespérideshas just celebrated its first year. Live long and prosper.

What to do before and after: A walk through the historic area of La Villa. Lunch or dinner in Íkarus. Link a cultural visit to Spínola Palace or the Museum of the Emigrant. A few kilometers away, in Nazaret, you can check out La Cueva, which is the ideal after-dinner spot. Teguise is located in the center of the island, so we can go by car to Costa Teguise or Arrecife if we want some night life.

STATE PLAN:

For the appetizer, as a meeting place for tea time or night owl arrancadilla with the first drinks. Any time of day is good for a visit to the cafe-restaurant of the Castillo de San José de Arrecife. Inserted between the irrigation port of the marbles and the fishing port of Naos, its location allows the navy look arrecifeña. As the Mirador del Rio , the public works of artist from Lanzarote, Cesar Manrique , is a bet of contemplative leisure.

The decoration of the Castillo San Jose is quite similar to other Resorts designed by Manrique. The combination of natural stone, wood parquet flooring, white tones and the perennial ferns fit naturally with contemporary art pieces in the room. The atmosphere is friendly and gentle music accompanies a jazz beat and rhythms of classic film Casablanca type 50.

The letter of liquor and snacks are varied. Quite poor, however, is the selection of coffees, teas and infusions and pastries available, based on some cake and some candy. Excel the option to eat something, because the café also serves food. The tasting menu (18 euros) consisting of fresh and cured cheese, some fish, figs, olives, salmon and other delicacies perfectly complements the room in San Jose for a group of four to six people.

The top of the fortress houses since 1976, the International Museum of Contemporary Art. It contains the permanent exhibition of the artist himself Pancho Lasso and, on the move, samples are organized national and international artists (the museum hours are 11:00 to 21:00 every day). The cultural environment, therefore, there is also quoted in the San Jose Castillo.

Café del Carmen is a brand new facility with many uses. Handles a menu of dishes and menus that enables you to lunch or dinner with an appropriate value for money. It offers enough of juices, smoothies and snacks for a delicious breakfast or snack. Changes when night falls and is an ideal place for nightlife and funky disco music primarily.

The space is conspicuous by its daring decor, which does not become strident, the intelligent planning of its space and its strategic location in the tourist area with parking in the surrounding area and near the beach and shopping areas. The service is large, pleasant, but it should speed up a point of care. The music is varied and current, which is added a long disc and funky.

However, in our view is not selected correctly in response to time signals. Disco at 18:00 on a point in time, can happen, but for an hour … The slender figure of Café del Carmen and its distinguished location in a tourist town have not been transferred to the letter price that is affordable for all budgets. The atmosphere is very pleasing, with people aged between 25 and 40.

STATE PLAN:

Although Amura is known for his work in restoring their cozy terrace is a perfect place for conversation, take a good dessert, coffee, wine or drink. Its location in front of Calero marina adds quality to this visit. Overlooking the sea and the south of Lanzarote, and the valley Femés in the horizon, also appreciate the sport boats, recreational and leisure docked a few meters.

The terrace takes life around the great white gazebo that forms the entrance to the restaurant. A large pergola, also of white wood, and the limitation of volcanic stone terrace are other characteristics. White and bright is the bet of furniture with tables and chairs, cozy and comfortable, surrounded by a dense grove of laurels in India and Canary palms. A gentle ambient music accompanies parsimoniously wrap and stay in place.

The letter of cafes Amura is quite limited. It is based on four options so that the variety is low (between 1.60 and 2 euros). Neither the bid is successful wines, but the level of the same. Apostles Wine, Porto Ramos Pinto or liqueur muscat The Vegueta are some good wines, although it may be a little high the price for the quality served (glass of wine between 5 and 7 euros).

Tasty and affordable, however, is the letter of pastries. Exquisite combinations, such as egg yolks and cream cinnamon ice tea and lemon confit, caramelized brioche, toasted pine nuts and pear sorbet, strawberries with allspice, broth and cream or a frothy sorbet tasting variety can be consumed between 5 and 6 euros.

Amura on the terrace smoking. The service is correct and fairly fast. The atmosphere in the area has a sports event, for the most part, and absolute quiet, with couples and families strolling leisurely down the avenue of Puerto Calero.

A cafeteria that investigates and takes risks. Is clearly seen in the letter of teas and tea Confectionery Lamontagne, where the typical chamomile and linden come from the hand of shots of anise and fennel, green mate, apple and cinnamon, cannabis relaxing and purifying balm or pepper cloves, ginger and cardamom. With the tea goes further: Pure red, green and black special … but how many teas you offer? Accounts and if you lock the sum is 66. What appears in the letter, because the house is clear that more than one hundred varieties.

Anyway, we opted for an infusion of cannabis and melissa and Lamontagne service helps you relax, “let stand three minutes.” In good hands. Since we will be concerned to relax and enjoy. The music makes us forget the bustle of downtown arrecifeño car. The tiny cafe looks like a capsule of comfort, thanks to a modern and comfortable decor that will change as the seasons pass by the calendar.

The feeling of being in a different place and professional power with the essence of the place. A sweet spot is the room. A handmade and always fresh pastry that does not rest on renovating and surprise their guests. Each week, a new cake designs, along with the work of Ludovic pastry Lamontagne, is on display in the exhibitors. Seeing them and appreciate the aroma comes the question itself, what would I to feed by sight? Younger children also have a variety of cookies and homemade lollipops.

Modern with a touch very chill out, has a rejuvenated and extremely comfortable furniture inside and on the terrace overlooking the riverside capital.

Modern cafe in enviable location overlooking the Charco de San Gines in Arrecife. HOURS: Tuesday to Sunday between 10:30 and 00:00 hours. LOCATION: Avenida Cesar Manrique, 39, Arrecife, Lanzarote.
STATE PLAN:

After a long time, finally, a powerful initiative has decided to opt for filling one of the most attractive parts of the Charco de San Gines. We refer to the building Atlantis, just one side of the entrance to the multiplex in Arrecife. Noah’s Café is a quantum leap over other projects in this space. Modern with a touch very chill out, has a rejuvenated and extremely comfortable furniture inside and on the terrace overlooking the riverside capital. The House passes the peaceful air of Charco playing with a soft play of light and modern decor that simulates the depths of the seas.

Depending on the level of quiet, or concerns, the wind, the terrace is located in a very nice place. With sea views and the spacious Avenida Cesar Manrique is also a strategic location if you move kids through the center of the capital. A coffee, tea or nibble some combined with a beer while the kids are at home, looks good option to complement the day’s errands or shopping.

Noah’s Café has managed to create a more ambitious and smarting bocatería letter, which places it in category covers more than coffee or terrace. Sandwiches and baguettes, ham and mushrooms scrambled eggs, croquettes, tortilla, chicken wings are, among other specialties, the range of dining options. Outside the joint letter, the word of mouth among cinema-goers have been evaluated on a high note of tex mex nachos and homemade desserts in her kitchen.

The wet nights in the capital of Lanzarote invite to take shelter inside Noah’s Café. From this point remains the enviable panoramic view of the Charco de San Gines. The house is right with the music tone. Ambient music, some chill out lounge and much, background accompanying the pleasant conversation. The cafe has just made a foray into the cultural field. The night of Thursday Gopar timple of dynamic versions of classic and current, which can serve as a potential front arrancadilla output.

MAP OF LOCATION:

The old building that houses Cafetería Cejas has enough elements to be visited for its architecture. It has two main rooms, apart from the entry-reception room. The interior room, spacious and with very high ceilings (see photograph at lower center), is decorated with bright red tones with wood on the ceiling and the lower part of the walls; the comfortable tables are made of marble and the chairs of wood. The antique furniture that culminates its decor, along with the art work scattered throughout the room -which is a non-smoking area- give the place its stately aspect.

The other room, a traditional Canarian patio, has the same characteristics as the interior room, with the difference that it can be open to the sky (this is the smoking area). This room is also furnished with marble tables and iron chairs, with the addition of wide benches and wooden armchairs. Some volcanic stone caps that support the structure of the building emerge from the red walls. The artwork as a decorative complement is replaced in this interior patio by some historical photographs of Teguise. A photograph that shows a woman holding her baby feeding from a goat’s teat in an old Teguise bedroom is very striking.

The wine and coffee list of Cafetería Cejas is quite limited, with only one Ribera del Duero and one Rioja for red wines and a dry and semi-dry Yaiza, and the coffee selection is almost non-existent, as there is only plain coffee or coffee with milk. On the other hand, the tea selection is a pleasant surprise. White, red, and green tea, combined with some varieties that are usually hard to find in Lanzarote. The China Pai Mutan, which is a white tea with a fruity aroma, or the China Jasmine, which is a green tea with perfumed jasmine flowers are some examples of the wide selection of teas (the varieties of teas are shown to the public in the picture on the right).

The atmosphere in Cafetería Cejas is very quiet. Its best customers are usually tourists who are visiting the old town of Teguise and stop to regain some strength or people who are attracted by this unique building while strolling around La Villa. The service is friendly and quick. Speaking of regaining strength, the cafeteria offers very good tapas: stew, shredded beef in a tomato sauce base called ropa vieja, tortilla, homemade meatballs. It also offers various kinds of sandwiches and croissants, along with a good selection of pastries with homemade cakes baked daily. Cafetería Cejas offers its facilities to celebrate special events or medium-size group reunions (approximately 15-20 people). For this, it is necessary to ask for information and make reservations in advance at the cafeteria or by calling +34 928 845 101.

What to do before and after: A walk through the historic area of La Villa. Lunch or dinner at Íkarus, followed by a cultural visit to Spínola Palace or the Museum of the Emigrant. A few kilometers away, in Nazaret, there is La Cueva, an ideal after-dinner place. Teguise is well placed in the center of the island, so we can go by car to Costa Teguise or Arrecife if we want some nightlife.
