The only question is when is best? At noon, in the evening or in early hours of the morning? What to do, what to do… At noon you can enter La Ola (Puerto Del Carmen) and you go into a new world. Youngsters with their chests on show catching the sun whilst sipping a cocktail and overlooking the vast ocean view whilst on the terrace. The first impression are that of enriched furnishings, large oriental beds, hammocks, loungers, and a row of sofas that run down the sides of the garden/pool. Everything is comfortable, has good vibes, is funky, includes Brazilian sambas and results in a chill out. What’s more, La Ola has a direct access to the delightful coves of La Peñita. All this leads you to ask: “But boy, what were you doing lounging on the couch at home watching the Tour De France until 17:00?”.
La Ola is located on the bustling boulevard of Puerto DelCarmen. It is open all day from breakfast time, and worksvery versatile. You can also enjoy it as a sandwich bar, like a culinary corner (for tapas, lunch or dinner) and then a place to enjoy a drink at night. As the sun sets, the place remains with charm. Enjoy the illuminated pool, the spotless white terraces and the Hawaiian palm treessurrounded by attractive people between the ages of 30-45 years. The premises extend into its interior. Inside you will come across a majestic room that is decorated withshades of red and countless Buddha and eastern oriental statues. It is a place filled with varying seating furnishings surrounding the immense dance floor, each and every one being just as comfortable. La Ola worksperfect attracts crowds on night outs and creates success. Inside there are three scattered sturdy bars that allows for space and efficiency reducing queues. Despite the numerous amounts of people within the premises the service is quick, the beer is varied (at 2 and 3euros) and the cocktail menu is extent (at 5 and 7 euros).
La Ola´s visitors are heterogeneous. Tourists mingle withthose from Lanzarote and the thread runs between the mellow music of chill out, funk and Brazilian sambas,and the strength of the latest techno and disco. Pop rock music is another popular theme and allows you to listen to updated versions of old pop songs.
