The Lanzarote Craft Fair 2025 will celebrate its 36th edition from September 10 to 15 in Mancha Blanca, Tinajo. This flagship cultural event brings together more than 120 artisans from the Canary Islands, featuring workshops, live demonstrations, cultural performances and the prestigious Craft Awards.

When and where

The fair opens on September 10 at 17:30 and continues from September 11 to 15, with daily hours from 10:30 to 21:30. The venue is set in the surroundings of Mancha Blanca, coinciding with the festivities of the Virgen de los Dolores, patron saint of Lanzarote.

History and tradition

Founded in the 1980s, the fair has become a must-attend annual event for preserving and promoting Lanzarote’s traditional crafts: soletas (traditional footwear), embroidery, pottery, basket weaving, rosettes, as well as innovative contemporary design inspired by island identity. The 2025 edition pays tribute to trades linked to rural life and the cultural memory of the island.

Program highlights

  • 120+ artisans showcasing and selling handmade products.
  • Workshops for all ages: pottery, basketry, embroidery and traditional games.
  • Live demonstrations of ancestral trades.
  • Lanzarote Craft Awards, recognising innovation and preservation of heritage.
  • Cultural performances: folk groups, parrandas, and local gastronomy.

Note: The full program of workshops and performances will be published on the official website starting September 5.

Practical tips

  • Arrive early to avoid large crowds: more than 70,000 visitors are expected.
  • Parking available around Mancha Blanca with shuttle bus service.
  • Visit midweek for a calmer experience; weekends are very busy.
  • Combine your visit with the Festivities of Los Dolores, held on the same dates.
