FTL and ASOLAN deliver toys to 154 children in 15th solidarity campaign

The Lanzarote Tourism Federation (FTL) and the Lanzarote Island Association of Hotel and Apartment Owners (ASOLAN) have successfully concluded the 15th edition of their Solidarity Toy Collection Campaign, raising a total of €5,965 and delivering gifts to 154 children from Lanzarote and La Graciosa.
“Fifteen years later, this campaign continues to grow because there are committed companies and individuals who understand social responsibility as part of their activity,” highlighted Susana Pérez, president of ASOLAN and FTL, who believes that “the data from this edition confirms that when the sector works in a coordinated manner, a direct and tangible social impact is achieved.”
Participating companies
Pérez expressed gratitude for the involvement of participating companies in this edition: Arrecife Gran Hotel & Spa, Relaxia Hotels & Resorts, Hibiscus Hotels, Hotel Alexandre Teguise Playa, Hotel Costa Calero Thalasso & SPA, Plus Fariones Suite Hotel, H10 Suites Lanzarote Gardens, Hotel Sandos Papagayo Beach Resort, Aloe Plus Lanzarote, Guía en Lanzarote and Restaurante Bagatela, as well as private individuals who contributed with their donations.
Fifteen years of solidarity
The ASOLAN and FTL Solidarity Toy Collection Campaign aims to ensure that no child goes without a gift at Christmas, promoting values such as solidarity, cooperation and shared social responsibility. Over its fifteen editions, it has mobilised businesses, tourism sector workers and the general public, strengthening the bond between the business community and the people of Lanzarote.
This initiative forms part of both organisations’ commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), as well as the Convention on the Rights of the Child, which recognises play as a fundamental right for child development.
ASOLAN and the Lanzarote Tourism Federation have given a highly positive assessment of this edition’s results, reaffirming their commitment to continue promoting solidarity actions that contribute to social welfare and support for children and the most vulnerable families.
