Departure from Puerto Calero
The Papagayo Catamaran Excursion begins at 10:30 (morning) or 15:15 (afternoon) in the luxurious marina of Puerto Calero .
There you’ll board a majestic 75-foot vessel with a maximum capacity of 104 people, making it ideal for enjoying contact with the sea.
An expert navigation team will prepare you to safely enjoy the wonders of catamaran sailing.
The boat will then set sail slowly away from the coast in search of dolphins.
It is worth mentioning that, although cetaceans frequently pass through this area, sightings are not guaranteed.
A quiet and impressionable one-way trip
The outward journey is designed to appreciate Lanzarote’s spectacular southeast coast in all its immensity.
To do this, the catamaran sails about 500 meters from the coast.
From there, the striking image of the Los Ajaches Natural Monument captures your gaze from the beginning of this maritime route.
The whimsical shapes of this unique massif offer a wide range of surprising cliffs, caves, beaches and coves .
It will be a relaxing journey that will end, in just under an hour, in the middle of the crystal-clear waters of Lanzarote’s best beaches, the Papagayo Beaches .
Meanwhile, you can settle into the sides of the catamaran, taking advantage of its cushioned space to clearly perceive the leisurely progress of the boat and its crashing into the crystal-clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
A gentle breeze complements the feeling of freedom while some flying fish accompany the ship’s passage.
Arriving in paradise
Halfway there, the curious and disordered shape of Playa Quemada is left behind.
A small fishing village, far from the hustle and bustle of tourism, with stretches of black sand beach surrounding it and numerous coastal nooks and crannies.
As the boat approaches the south of the island, the black sand changes its texture and color to become the fine yellow sand so characteristic of Lanzarote’s beaches.
This circumstance constitutes the prelude to one of the most striking moments of the excursion.

The intense blue of the sea turns into a multicolored explosion of turquoise blue and green tones, while the warm beaches and coves display all their splendor.

Docking in Papagayo
The catamaran runs aground about 100 meters from the most secluded beach in Papagayo, where it will remain anchored for about two hours.

Lunch, Activities and Relaxation
In Papagayo, you’ll have time to sunbathe, eat, drink a cold beer, sunbathe, or read a book in peace.
The onboard service includes a menu based on salad and pasta with sauce.
In addition, you will have snorkeling equipment, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards (SUP) at your disposal.
Return to Puerto Calero
Once the schedule is up, the boat begins its return journey to Puerto Calero.

Both the Gold and Platinum Catamaran excursions offer the following services:
- Bus transfers from the main tourist centers of Lanzarote
- Sailing from Puerto Calero to the beaches of Papagayo and back
- Tapas with local cheese, fruit and bread
- Activities such as kayaking, SUP (Stand Up Paddle) and snorkeling
- Pasta with tomato, fresh vegetables and Parmesan cheese, Canarian potatoes with mojo sauce and salad
