FULL DESCRIPTION OF THE COAST 2 COAST EXCURSION

The excursion begins at meeting points located in the main tourist areas (Playa Blanca, Puerto Calero, Puerto del Carmen, Arrecife and Costa Teguise).

There, a comfortable, air-conditioned bus will pick you up to kick off the excursion that will take you from coast to coast.

You’ll take a beautiful route to the first point of interest, LagOmar.

Visit to Lagomar

Located in the Oasis of Nazareth, a town belonging to the municipality of Teguise, the former capital of the island, is LagOmar.

LagOmar is said to have been the residence of the famous actor Omar Shariff in Lanzarote.

Lagomar House

Today it’s a museum that features a spectacular cave carved into the mountain and a beautiful lake that will transport you back in time to the story of the Arabian Nights.

The place represents an encounter with nature thanks to an unusual combination of architecture and the natural environment.

Legend has it that the actor lost his house playing cards and never returned to Lanzarote.

Visit to the Cactus Garden, César Manriquer’s latest work

After leaving Omar Sharif’s iconic house behind, the bus will take you to the Cactus Garden, a magnificent example of architectural intervention integrated into the landscape.

Cactus garden

César Manrique created this bold architectural complex, maintaining the unbreakable pairing of art and nature.

A binomial that can be appreciated in all of his spatial interventions.

In the Cactus Garden, you can admire an old windmill and more than 4,500 specimens of 450 different species grouped together from 13 families of cacti from all five continents.

Once you’ve completed the route through these two iconic art and nature sites designed by César Manrique, the second part of this fantastic tour begins.

Transfer to La Graciosa

The Graciosa

The bus will travel from the Cactus Garden to the fishing village of Órzola, in northern Lanzarote.

From there, the ferry will take you to the neighboring island of La Graciosa.

A journey marked, without a doubt, by the impressive views of Lanzarote’s northern coast.

The crossing takes just under 30 minutes, and upon reaching La Graciosa, you can explore the small fishing village and its sandy streets.

La Graciosa dock

You will experience the charm of a place where time seems to have stopped.

And you’ll have time to do a variety of activities on your own: take a stroll through the quiet village of Caleta del Sebo to admire the unpaved streets, visit the traditional market, rent a bike, or simply enjoy the idyllic beaches.
