Puerto Calero is a smaller tourist area in Lanzarote. Among the island’s four tourist areas, together with Costa Teguise, Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca, Puerto Calero stands out as the latest and most modern. Its smaller area occupies one of the most ideal spots weather-wise: clear skies, protected from the winds and with Los Ajaches Natural Monument as a backdrop in the southeastern part of the island, its marina brings together the best conditions for your enjoyment. Each year this enclave serves as host to one of the most important nautical sporting events. The Cesar Manrique-Puerto Calero regatta, soon to enter its 8th year, brings together the best sailing teams; in fact, during the second half of October this port celebrates the yachters who come from all over the world to compete.
