Ocean Lava Lanzarote 2025 takes place on Saturday, 25 October in Puerto del Carmen (Tías), featuring Supersprint, Olympic and Olympic Relay. The race hub is around Playa Grande and the Avenida de las Playas, with use of Calle Noruega and links to the LZ-40 per course layout. Below: routes, closures and the best places to watch.

When & where?

  • Date: Saturday, 25 October 2025.
  • Base: Puerto del Carmen (Tías). Key areas: Playa Grande, Avenida de las Playas, Calle Noruega and connecting corridors.

Courses & distances

Supersprint

  • Swim: 400 m from/to Playa Grande (single loop; variant per sea state).
  • Bike: ~11 km along the Calle Noruega → LZ-40 axis with turnarounds (draft-legal).
  • Run: 2.5 km on the Avenida de las Playas promenade (out-and-back).

Olympic (individual & relay)

  • Swim: 1.5 km at Playa Grande (single loop).
  • Bike: 40 km multi-lap with 3 turnarounds on the Calle Noruega / LZ-40 footprint (draft-legal).
  • Run: 10 km (2 laps) along Avenida de las Playas and seafront.

Road closures & access

The organizer releases the official road-closure map in race week. Pending the 2025 notice, use the 2024 map as a reference (Avenida de las Playas, Calle Noruega, LZ-40 segments and municipal roads with partial/time-window closures). Tip: if you’re staying nearby, go on foot and follow marshals and signage.

Where to watch

  • Swim & transitions: Playa Grande and the Parque de las Naciones seafront.
  • Bike: safe spectator stretches on Avenida de las Playas near Calle Noruega (keep clear of barriers/turns).
  • Run & finish energy: the Avenida de las Playas promenade offers repeated passes and great atmosphere.
