Nacho Vegas arrives in Lanzarote on Thursday, May 21, 2026 with Vidas Semipreciosas, his ninth studio album and one of the most anticipated tours of the year on the Spanish independent music scene. The concert takes place at the Teatro Víctor Fernández Gopar “El Salinero” in Arrecife at 8:00 pm, organized by the Cabildo de Lanzarote. Tickets: €25.

Vidas Semipreciosas: 25 years of essential songwriting

The album’s title comes from a simple idea: that semiprecious stones — irregular, each one different, with almost magical names — are more beautiful than the supposedly perfect ones. From that starting point, Nacho Vegas builds 14 songs about the everyday, the imperfect and the human. “We wanted to be precious stones and we ended up roughly halfway there,” he sings without self-pity on the album’s near-title track.

Vidas Semipreciosas is the ninth solo album from an artist who has spent a quarter of a century as one of the most distinctive voices in Spanish and Asturian songwriting. Released in January 2026 on the Oso Polita label, the album has been received as one of his most musically open works — from the violins that open “Alivio” to the Asturian folk of “Fíu” and a collaboration with Albert Pla on “Deslenguarte.”

El Salinero: the venue

The Teatro Víctor Fernández Gopar “El Salinero” is Arrecife’s main venue for concerts and performing arts. Its intimate capacity turns every show into a close-quarters experience — exactly the kind of stage where Nacho Vegas’s songs work best. The theater is located on Calle Blas Cabrera Felipe in central Arrecife, an easy walk from the waterfront with parking nearby.
