Navidad Isleña Lanzarote 2025 will once again fill town squares and streets across the island and La Graciosa with traditional music. It is a series of folk concerts featuring parrandas, choirs, Christmas “ranchos”, municipal bands and local folk groups performing outdoors throughout the Christmas and Three Kings season.

Update pending: The Cabildo of Lanzarote has not yet published the official 2025–2026 program with exact dates, times and groups by municipality. We’ll update this guide as soon as the final schedule is released.

When and where Navidad Isleña 2025–2026 takes place

The Navidad Isleña 2025–2026 series is expected to follow the pattern of recent editions, with concerts spread between late November and the first days of January.

• Expected dates: from late November 2025 to early January 2026 (exact calendar still to be confirmed officially).
• Participating municipalities: Arrecife, Teguise, Tinajo, San Bartolomé, Tías, Yaiza, Haría and La Graciosa.
• Typical venues: main town squares, market halls, parks and outdoor cultural spaces in each municipality.
• Event type: free concert series, open to everyone.

In previous years most concerts have taken place on December weekends in the late afternoon and evening, with some special dates during the week around Christmas and New Year’s.

Program and highlight activities

While we wait for the official 2025–2026 schedule, here is what you can expect from Navidad Isleña based on recent editions:

• Parrandas and folk groups: traditional Canarian music groups with guitars, timples and bandurrias playing classic island tunes.
• Choirs and Christmas singers: parish choirs, school choirs and invited ensembles performing carols and Christmas standards.
• Ranchos de Pascua: historic formations linked to Canarian Christmas tradition, with very characteristic processional songs.
• Municipal music bands: in recent editions, the island’s municipal bands have joined the series with special concerts.
• Stages all over the island: central squares in Arrecife, villages like Teguise and Haría, tourist areas such as Costa Teguise or Puerto del Carmen, and unique venues on La Graciosa.

Practical tips for enjoying Navidad Isleña

• Arrive early: concerts are free and outdoors, but central areas fill up quickly, especially on December weekends.
• Bring a light layer: winter in Lanzarote is mild, but evenings can feel cool and breezy in open squares.
• Use it to explore villages: Navidad Isleña is a great excuse to visit less touristy towns and experience a 100% local atmosphere.
• Check each town’s Christmas program: many concerts are integrated into the wider Christmas and Three Kings programs with markets, children’s activities and nativity scenes.
• Respect the surroundings: use bins, keep noise reasonable and follow instructions from staff to maintain the family-friendly atmosphere.
